Purpose: From now until June 8, 2021, all places of recreation and entertainment within Taitung County are closed. Religious pilgrimages and processions are also prohibited until June 8, 2021 to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Legal Basis: According to Subparagraph 6, Paragraph 1, Article 37 of the Communicable Disease Control Act and based on directives given during the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) press conference on May 15, 2021.
Public Directives:
1.In accordance to CDC directives given on May 15, 2021, all places of entertainment and recreation must close. There is also a temporary ban on religious activities in public.
2.Places of recreation and entertainment include, hostess bars, bars, movie theaters, karaoke parlors, hair salons, barber shops, massage parlors, health clubs, (including massage, sauna and spa facilities), bowling alleys, pool halls, gyms and sports centers (including publically operated facilities), indoor golf driving ranges, arcades, gaming parlors, Internet cafes, Mahjong parlors, etc.
3.Pilgrimages, processions and all other religious activity at all places of worship nationwide, which includes temples and churches, are prohibited. The public must implement registration protocols, maintain social distancing and stay vigilant regarding sanitation.
4.In accordance with Subparagraph 3, Paragraph 1, Article 70 of the Communicable Disease Control Act, the Taitung County Government will fine those who are not in compliance with this announcement NT $ 3000-5000.
