With mixed terrain from pebbled to sandy beaches, reefs, and everything in between, Taitung offers a variety of landscapes and wave patterns, making it the ideal region for surfing in Taiwan.

Specifically, the stretch from Donghe to Changbin, boasts a flat seabed and gentle waves, thanks to the continental shelf which extends 50 to 60 meters into the ocean, making this coastline highly suitable for surfers of all levels.
