Sanhe Coastal Park can be found on Provincial Highway 9 right beside Sanhe Village in Taimali Township,Taitung. Sanhe Coastal Park is a typical fishing village where you’ll see fishing bamboo rafts and fishermen bringing their rafts in. If you’re interested in observing the sea people’s way of life or experiencing the hustle and bustle of a fish market, don’t miss out on the fish auction that takes place every day between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Besides experiencing the daily routines of a fishing village, you can also check out the many public facilities within the park, including a basic fishing harbor, fish auction space, fishing equipment room, observation deck, children’s water pool, wind-power station, performance stage, bicycle path, and more. It's worth noting that there are many ways that sustainable living is promoted at this park, such as using solar and wind power to run various equipment and even park lighting. The park also takes advantage of the most natural power source, solar energy, to save on power usage within the park. The windmills that generate wind power have also become one of the park’s attractions. Watch as the turbines turn to the gusts of wind, seemingly blowing our troubles away. Make your way up to the observation deck and you’ll find the boundless Pacific Ocean turn up before your eyes, a truly breathtaking sight.
