Taitung, with its beautiful mountains and ocean, is both endearing and strong. Surprisingly, Taitung also has a reputation of being the hometown of triathlons. An average of four or five triathlon events are held here every year. The Beautiful Taitung International Triathlon launched in 2014 can be described as a classic Taitung Triathlon race, which combines swimming, cycling and road running. The entire venue is diversified: the swimming event is held at the landmark Flowing Lake in Taitung Forest Park, which is an open water area suitable for swimming and competing. The cycling event starts from Jhonghua Bridge, and passes through Shanyuan Beach, Water Running upward, with Dulan as the turning point. It continues all the way along the Hualien-Taitung Coastal Highway with beautiful mountains and seas. The running event is held in Taitung City, with Mahengheng Boulevard becoming the final running track for athletes. The whole event is carried out surrounding the beautiful scenery of Taitung. We believe that it can provide endless motivation for all contestants!
