NingJi Hotpot

NingJi Hotpot is quite famous in Taitung City. The restaurant has been open for over a decade and is a well-known local favorite. The restaurant serves mainly spicy mala soup with four levels of spiciness to choose from. Guests who can’t handle the heat can also try the mild soup base which is slightly numbing but not spicy. The most popular menu item is the mala base hotpot which includes duck blood and tofu. The broth overflows with a rich spicy fragrance and the tofu and blood are bottomless, bringing many of NingJi’s fans back again and again. Various hotpot sides are offered and the meat here is sliced thick. You can also order handmade cuttlefish and shrimp paste; the braised intestine is also a popular item. Dip these goodies into the specialty sweet and sour sauce for the perfect pairing.
