Deputy Director Hung noted that Taitung boasts rich natural resources and Indigenous culture and has strong potential as an international tourism destination. Since last year, the county government has been actively cultivating the Malaysian market. This year, under Director Chou’s guidance, the team met with both MCTA and the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA), and also engaged with Golden Tourworld Travel (GTT) and China Airlines. These efforts aim to enhance promotion effectiveness and increase Taitung’s visibility and competitiveness in the Southeast Asian travel market, with hopes of eventually launching direct charter flights to attract more visitors.
