Come to Taitung this fall—it’s not just about exploring the mountains and the sea; you can also embark on a culinary journey guided by the aroma of coffee! The Taitung County Government will host the “2026 Austronesian Coffee Festival” on October 24 and 25, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily, at the TTstyle Original Spot Plaza and Square Plaza in Taitung. Under this year’s theme, “Brew Your Wild Side: Mountain & Ocean Slow Sips,” the event gathers nearly 40 booths featuring coffee, lifestyle products, artisan crafts, and specialty cuisine. It also features five themed islands, international coffee exchanges, flavor-tasting experiences, as well as live music and circus performances—inviting the public to take two days to sip slowly, browse around, and immerse themselves in the unique mountain and ocean flavors of Taitung.

Taitung County Magistrate Yao Ching-ling stated that since the county government launched the “Left Bank of the Pacific Taitung Coffee” brand in 2022, the initiative has now entered its fifth year. This year’s “Mountain & Ocean Slow Sips” theme echoes Taitung’s “SLOW FOR LIFE” ethos, connecting land, flavor, and lifestyle through coffee, allowing people to discover Taitung’s distinct natural environment and rhythm of life through a single cup of coffee. This year’s market has been transformed into a navigable “Island Hopping Map,” featuring five themed zones: “Coffee Island,” “Soundwave Island,” “Wildcraft Island,” “Slow Life Island,” and “Gourmet Island.” Connecting coffee tastings, music, handcrafts, lifestyle experiences, and specialty dining. We invite visitors to follow the map as they “hop from island to island,” collecting stamps and completing challenges—turning a market stroll into a fun-filled Austronesian getaway packed with food, drinks, and entertainment.

Director of the Agriculture Department, Luo Shu-yuan explained that international flavors are another must-see highlight this year. The event has specially invited Singaporean coffee brand luli roasts to Taitung to share their iconic Kopi culture, while bringing Malaysian specialty coffee for outdoor cupping sessions alongside Taitung’s specialty coffee. Without traveling abroad, visitors can taste distinct flavor profiles from different origin regions in one go, while experiencing coffee culture exchanges among Taitung, Singapore, and Malaysia.

Both days of the event feature exciting activities. On October 24, the schedule includes a specialty coffee bean cupping, a Kopi culture sharing session, a sparkling water and coffee pairing experience, and industry panel discussions. Renowned YouTuber AD Cafe will even collaborate with local Taitung vendors to launch a limited-edition “Coffee Braised Pork Rice.” On October 25, there will be family-friendly pour-over sessions featuring different roast levels, as well as workshops on making coffee grounds coasters and creating art from ocean waste. On stage, there will be consecutive performances by the VASA Dongpaiwan Youth Ballad Team, Cityisland, Nanzihan, the Sparrow061 Band, alongside Clown Papa and the Tien Circus Theatre—offering everything from coffee expertise to family-friendly entertainment all in one place.

During the event, there will also be full-purchase gifts, stamp-collecting games, and a prize draw—with chances to win HARIO drippers and other great prizes with any on-site purchase. Additionally, reusable container rentals will also be available, and participating in designated activities may win limited-edition TTPUSH coins. The Taitung County Government warmly invites everyone to plan their final long weekend of the year in advance and join us at the TTstyle Original Spot Plaza and Square Plaza on October 24–25 to sip coffee, explore the market, listen to music, and participate in hands-on activities.
