Your spectacular journey on Orchid Island begins here! Kaiyuan Fishing Harbor is the only harbor on Orchid Island. You can board a boat headed for the main island of Taiwan or other islands such as the neighboring Green Island. While there is only a single cement embankment at the Kaiyuan Fishing Harbor and no other fancy decorations or buildings, the moment visitors arrive at the harbor, they are always blown away by the vast natural green beauty at the first sight. The crisp green mountains shoot out of the land, and the deep blue oceans have a magical calming effect. You can enjoy these lovely sights right here after you step off the boat. Look at the surrounding waters for a vast and unobstructed view that no other city could offer.
Besides serving as the primary transportation port of Orchid Island, Kaiyuan Fishing Harbor is located in Yeyou Village, which is home to the Lanyu Administration Center, Township Office, Fisherman’s Association, Farmers’ Association, Police Station, and other government organizations. Additionally, the only gas station on the island is located near the harbor, making it the ideal spot to fill up on gas before exploring the island on a scooter. The peak tourism season for Orchid Island falls between May and September each year, during which Kaiyuan Fishing Harbor becomes a bustling hub for the tourism industry.
