Located across from the Luye Tourist Center, Yang’s Sticky Rice Cakes is a local rice snack stall with over 60 years of history. Their specialties include herbal rice cakes, red turtle cakes, and radish buns (菜脯包), made with homegrown, pesticide-free mugwort, glutinous rice, and a blend of spices. The fillings feature natural ingredients such as dried radish, shiitake mushrooms, and minced pork. Each rice cake is steamed over a wood-fired stove, with pomelo leaves underneath to enhance the aroma.
While honoring the classics, the stall also offers innovative flavors like butterfly pea, pumpkin, and coffee, adding a creative twist to nostalgic tastes.
