A Cup of Coffee Rooted in Local Flavors, in Jinlun

Located in the Jinlun tribal community, LI.KA CAFE is a café that brings together local connections, environmental sustainability, and Indigenous culture. Guided by a “farm-to-table” philosophy, the café sources its ingredients through collaborations with local small-scale farmers, supporting seed preservation while transforming Indigenous ingredients into baked goods and beverages. Through taste, visitors are invited to experience the stories of the land.

 

The café does not proactively provide single-use takeaway containers, encouraging customers to bring their own utensils and practice mindful consumption. Packaging made from natural materials is used in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The interior features wooden window frames, lush greenery, and soft natural lighting, creating a calm atmosphere that coexists with nature — a welcoming space for quiet moments alone or relaxed conversations with friends.

Beyond coffee and baked goods, LI.KA CAFE also partners with local craft brands to offer guided tours and cultural experiences, fostering greater understanding and respect for Indigenous history. The café hopes that “inclusivity” can become part of the tribe’s slow-living lifestyle.

 

Bilingual Chinese-English signage and basic information are available, welcoming travelers from Taiwan and abroad to experience the warmth and stories that begin with the land.
