Have you made it down to the 2023 Taiwan International Balloon Festival yet? 2023 marks the thirteenth year of the Taiwan International Balloon Festival. The event started on June 30th at Luye Highland, lasts for 60 days, and will end on August 28th. The Taiwan International Balloon Festival will also feature a record-breaking nine Night Glow Concerts. Three of the Night Glow Concerts, which took place on July 1st and July 20th , and will be a part of the closing ceremony on August 28th, will include drone-formation performances. The number of drones has increased to 700 per performance from 300 last year. This groundbreaking achievement has set a record for the world’s largest hot air balloon and drone-formation performance.
Each Night Glow Concert is unique based on its location and made even more exciting and spectacular by incorporating each performance around Taitung’s amazing scenery. People rave about Night Glow Concerts because each one features a performance that pairs individual hot air balloons with themed music and dazzling pyrotechnics. In addition, laser beams sweep the sky, various hot air balloons take to the stage, flames shoot up, and the rhythm of the music pulses forth. As the show’s mind-blowing flickering colors warp and shift, everyone in the audience loses themselves in the experience, providing a welcome and relaxing reprieve from everyday life.
