Nothing beats fresh seafood. East Pacific Fresh Fish Soup is right next to the Dawu Fishing Harbor allowing them to source the freshest seafood. The owner was once a fisherman thus knowing all the ins and outs of picking out the best quality seafood. If you have the chance to visit, make sure to order a bowl of steaming fresh fish soup. The fish is succulent and sweet. Only a few ingredients are added to the soup, green onions, ginger, and salt, to bring out the best flavors of the fish. The restaurant also prepares its fish by steaming, pan frying, braising, seasoning with fermented soybeans or ‘three-cup’. Those who can’t decide which one to try can start with pan-fried ribbonfish. The ribbonfish is a specialty of Dawu Township. It has thick and juicy meat. Under the chef’s exquisite culinary skills, both sides of the fish are fried to a golden crisp and gently sprinkled with salt and pepper to create a scrumptious dish. Other dishes offered at the restaurant include basil stir-fried clams, three-cup squid, and more. (Photo Credit:FB@陳小一的雲林美食天地)
