Lianjixin Bakery

Lianjixin Bakery is located on the corner of Guangming Rd in Taitung. This Bakery has been in business for over 70 years. When the bakery was first opened during the Japanese colonial rule as a candy shop. The store has gone through three generations in the family and mainly sells traditional Taiwanese and western bread and pastries. All of the baked goods are freshly made in-house by the owner. The bakery also offers an English menu and introductory pamphlet to accommodate foreign visitors.

The signature traditional pastries and baked goods include: “Traditional meat pastry” that is filled with winter melon and meat filling. The pastry is chewy and filling, crispy on the outside, and covered in fragrant sesame seeds. The pineapple cake is imprinted with an intricate pattern and tastes like childhood. The filling is sweet and fragrant with a light and flaky pastry shell. Other pastries include Taiwanese macarons and chocolate balls. These yummy delights are sold by weight so guests can purchase as few or many as they please.
