Luye Highland
Travelers from all over the world gather at Luye Highland in the early morning to participate in the International Hot Air Balloon Festival every summer from June to August. Taitung Luye Highland is a plateau that has an elevation of 350 meters and is a unique geological landscape. The elevation provides an excellent flight condition for paragliding and grass skating. It is the time to take a deep breath of fresh air and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere that only belongs to Taitung.

The village of Kaadaadaan is located west of the Coastal Ridge This place is called the “Fire of Thunder God” historically people believed that the fires of a volcano was caused by the Thunder God Visitors can experience aboriginal culture of the Amis and enjoy the coffee and local cuisines here
Wuling Green Tunnel
Wuling Green Tunnel is located at the old Provincial Highway No9, otherwise known as the Yongling Road today This beautiful road is 45km long and is one of the best bike trails in Taitung Riding along the road is like riding through a charming green tunnel with camphor trees and beefwoods on both sides and sunlight beaming through the leaves
Mr. Brown Avenue
Chishang and Guanshan are the biggest rice paddy cultivation areas in Taiwan Due to the rainfall and the untainted environment, the rice produced here is famous for its high quality.
Mr. Brown Avenue, which is called the “green road of paradise”, is a small country avenue without a utility pole by the roadside in Chishang. Riding a bike along the road is the best way to explore the area. Visitors can see vast plains of rice fields as they pedal down the road. By June and July, the rice paddies change colors from green to yellow. Mr. Brown Avenue offers visitors different characteristics in each season. The charming scenery of green rice paddies along the road is breathtaking. It is one of the favorites trails for cyclists.
Dapo Lake
Dapo Lake is a natural inland wetland A variety of water plants, birds, frogs, fresh-water fish and shrimps can be found here. The pond is around 20 hectares with another 20 hectares of surrounding embankments and wetlands. The sight of the Central Ridge reflected on the mirror like surface of the lake is breathtakingly beautiful There are also hiking and biking trails around the lake.
